Differently Abled Clients with Scoliosis

At Schroth Spinal Physical Therapy, we provide specialized care for differently abled clients with scoliosis or kyphosis. Some individuals have neuromuscular scoliosis or kyphosis, caused by conditions such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, and SMA syndrome, where muscle imbalances lead to spinal asymmetry. Others may have idiopathic scoliosis but require more specialized care due to additional diagnoses, such as diabetes, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, or autism spectrum disorder.

Our therapists have extensive experience treating scoliosis in clients with a wide range of complex medical needs. We are also skilled in working with individuals who have sensory processing differences, communication challenges, and other unique considerations.
