Treatment incorporates play-based activities with Schroth concepts, as well as parent education. The focus is on:
Proper postural and spinal alignment in all positions
Stretching tight muscles
Strengthening weakened muscles
Age-appropriate breathing exercises
Guidance on bracing
Close monitoring of the scoliotic curve
Parent education to understand their child’s scoliotic curve and its effects
Collaboration with child’s physician or orthotist as needed
